What CeADAR, Ireland’s AI European Digital Innovation Hub, offers SMEs — subsidised test-before-invest, training and advice — and the key point: services, not cash to buy software.
dgm is an independent osFoundry implementation partner — not affiliated with osFoundry’s developer (the company OS LLC), and it has not yet completed any client integrations.
CeADAR is Ireland’s AI European Digital Innovation Hub — the most relevant low-cost entry point for an SME exploring AI — but it delivers subsidised services, not cash to buy software.
What the scheme actually gives
- CeADAR is Ireland’s Centre for AI and the EDIH for AI, supporting startups, SMEs and the public sector adopting AI across any sector.
- Like all EDIHs, it offers subsidised services — test-before-invest, training, advice and networking — up to 100% discounted for eligible SMEs and public bodies.
- The funding goes to the hub that delivers the services; companies receive subsidised services, not a cash grant.
Does it fund buying AI software?
CeADAR offers subsidised AI services (test-before-invest, training, advice); it does not give a company cash to buy AI software. A platform such as osFoundry lowers the cost structurally through usage-based pricing and the BYOK principle — which helps more than waiting for support that does not cover software.
